Looking for walkable flat paved trails or mountains to climb, Canmore has it. Explore the mountain bike trail system and cater to your level of adventure. Come winter go for a snow shoe, strap on some skis, or try a fat bike. Well known for its proximity to world class facilities for cross country and downhill skiing: Canmore Nordic Centre, Kananaskis backcountry, Sunshine, Norquay, Nakiska, Lake Louise.
Lots of family fun and drop in programs through the community recreation centre and Elevation place. Not to mention the festivals, food tours and fun year round.

Ride your bike along the river all the way to Three Sisters, or from downtown via the pedestrian underpass connecting to the sunny side of Canmore. Explore the paths and trails along the Bow River and Spring Creek. Come winter go skating at Policemen’s Creek or snowshoe up to the Nordic Centre, as part of the Legacy trail network. Want to go to Banff, take the paved trail along the highway or the cross country trail from Goat Creek (winter ski/summer bike).
